TL;DR: we’re launching on Product Hunt today and humbly ask for your support!

Remember this Google Trends chart of cooking demand

1
? Since Google started collecting data in 2004, annual demand has only gone up, with a giant seasonal spike in the US every November.

Thanksgiving 2020 (after COVID) is when the US probably experienced the highest ever demand for cooking, followed by Thanksgiving 2021.

This is no surprise, and wholly consistent with the Butterball Turkey-Talk line fielding more than 100,000 calls over the holiday season each year.

Well, Butterball

2
, it’s time to give you a run for your money. We’ve been working furiously toward a Thanksgiving launch with lots of seasonal holiday recipes, and most important of all, turkey!

The first alpha version of Parsnip actually launched for Thanksgiving 2020, and we’re excited for a reprise with a far better product. But we need your help to get Parsnip in front of as many people as possible:

  1. Please support us on Product Hunt.

  2. If any of your friends are excited about Parsnip, please tell them about our launch too!

  3. We welcome you to join the discussion in the Product Hunt thread.

Thank you so much 🙏 and we look forward to helping many people have delicious, beautiful, joy-filled Thanksgivings!

Our actual Thanksgiving in 2015 — one of the few times we bothered to take some pictures before immediately eating everything!

Subscribe and follow along with what happens after our launch!

Fun fact: a Butterball was the first turkey I ever roasted, 19 years ago in junior year of high school. Unfortunately, it was quite undercooked inside because no one told me that I should have defrosted the turkey first 🤣. With Parsnip, no one else has to learn the hard way!
