Hi everyone,

I’m thrilled to announce that this morning, the team got together on Zoom and christened the official release of Parsnip into the App Store!

It’s been a long journey to get to this point, but it’s also been a fantastic experience to work with such a talented group of people who are so passionate about our mission to make cooking a joy for everyone on the planet. Working on Parsnip together has been purposeful, exhilarating, and sometimes downright fun. So we were thrilled to push this button together and enter the next phase of Parsnip:

What’s next?

If you like the app, we’d really appreciate it if you could leave us a 5-star review. This will really help us get Parsnip in front of more users and make it better.

For non-iOS users, we also have a highly experimental Android APK that you can try out and share. This is very preliminary, so please come yell at us on Discord if you see any bugs.

We’re also pleased to announce that we got into Mercury Raise Seed—one of 52 startups selected from 2,000 applications. This will be really helpful to build relationships with values-aligned capital leading into our fall fundraise.

We plan to spend a couple of months gathering usage data with our apps in the wild before starting our raise. We’ll be sharing these metrics in a future post—onward and upward!

And if you haven’t already, you might like to read a previous memo about our mission, or how Parsnip fits into the trajectory of world food history:

Well, let’s take a stroll down memory lane, to the dawn of another company many thought…
